On March 14, 2024 (Ministry of Peace), the Ministry of Peace, in cooperation with the Federation Council, held a consultation forum on the establishment of inter-governmental relations in the neighboring regions of northern and central Ethiopia.

 

The Honorable Mrs. Zahra Humed, the Deputy Speaker of the House of  Federation Council, said that the joint consultation forum in the neighboring regions of northern and central Ethiopia will help to resolve disputes in the region through discussion and negotiation within the framework of the constitution. she added that this kind of side relationship between governments plays a positive role in strengthening the unity of the country by connecting the neighboring communities through infrastructure and strengthening their unity.

 

State Minister for Federalism and Conflict Management of the Ministry of Peace, Honorable Ato Cherugeta Genene, stated that the consultation forum will enable them to strengthen brotherhood and multi nationalism among the regions and develop their experience of talking and discussing on their own. The Honorable Minister of State added that the support and monitoring of the two institutions is important to work together and make the roads that we could not achieve individually.

 

Honorable Speaker of the House of Federation Mrs. Zahra Humed, Honorable Ato Cherugeta, Minister of State of the Federal Ministry of Peace, State Speakers, Federation Council members, State Ministers/Governments and Bureau Chiefs participated in the consultation forum.
