Training of trainers was given to the zonal and district leaders of Sidama region - Ministry Of Peace

For two consecutive days in Hawassa city, the leaders and experts of the peace and security structure of Sidama region were trained on federalism, conflict management and the concept of inter-governmental relations. The training is aimed at making the leadership involved in peace building by building implementation capacity.

Mr Yirgalem Mengistu , Chief Executive Officer of Conflict Management at the Ministry of Peace, stated that there is a gap in the government's efforts to avoid conflicts, to establish peace and security, and to reduce the damage caused when conflicts occur. He pointed out that conflict early warning system is a matter that should be given attention in order to be able to control conflicts before they occur.
