The 20th Palermo Convention Ministerial Conference was held in which Ethiopia participated

The Ethiopian delegation led by the Minister of Peace of Federal Republic of Ethiopia, Mr. Bnalf Andualem, participated in the 20th Palermo Convention Ministerial Conference held in Palermo, Italy.

 

In the presence of many governmental and non-governmental institutions, the 20th Ministerial Conference of the Palermo Convention focused on human trafficking and illegal immigrants.

HE Ato Bnalf Andualem discussed the policy frameworks, institutional arrangements and corrective measures that Ethiopia is taking to control illegal immigration and human trafficking as the origin, transit and destination of refugees in the Horn of Africa.

 

The minister added that Ethiopia is committed to working in cooperation with all governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to prevent human trafficking.
